Lynn's Dance Arts: REGISTRATION FOR 2011 DANCE SEASON!!

At Lynn's Dance Arts we believe that dance education should be provided in a fun, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere. Dance can provide children and teens not only with the ability to move with grace and style, but a personal confidence that will benefit them throughout their life time. Lynn's Dance Arts has been in business since 1981, providing this type of dance education for Gridley and the surrounding areas.

Our "Kinderdance" program is for children ages three through six, and includes instruction in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and basic Tumbling. As the children mature in age and ability, one hour classes are offered in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical Ballet, and Hip Hop for ages seven through adult. Tap classes are a half hour. We provide opportunities and training for the recreational dancer, as well as the more serious dancer.

For the more serious dancers we have our Junior and Senior Hip Hop Dance Team, and Lyrical Performance team.

Performing is a great way for dancers to showcase their talents, and we at LDA provide several opportunities throughout the year for the students to do just that! Our annual recital is held for two nights in June at the Oroville State Theater to a sold out audience and gives the dancers a fun-filled and professional performance opportunity that is a highlight in their year. In the winter we hold an Open House at the studio, where parents can observe their child's dance growth in a more casual atmosphere. Also, in the spring Lynn's dance Arts performs at several of the local schools for their peers and teachers. This is one of their favorite performances. Once or twice a year we also take dancers (with the help of supportive parents) to dance conventions where they can be exposed to the dance world and be instructed by renowned choreographers.

Lynn's Dance Arts is located at 495 Sycamore Street in Gridley where we have a 3500 square foot studio with two dance rooms and a waiting area. Our dance season runs from September through June. August is the mini session for the Butte County Fair performance.
